Need Help

Hi,

How can I create a surface some part of whom is not show? For example I want to 
create z = x*x + y*y. How can I show ONLY the region that stays within   
5>x^2+y^2>1 ? (In addition I want to keep ranges of x-axis and y-axis -10, +10 
lets say.)

Any suggestions are welcome.
