Changing from Version 1.0.2 to 3.0.1

Hi, long not followed the updates here.

But we were in discussion and test in 2022 and now I saw the new versions.
Version 1.0.2 runs with a own build Watchdog/restart stable in my NodeRed environment.

I just want to understand the changes.
Code examples look much different than in the older version.
I see no real desription, what are the differences to older versions for the KW interface and what needs to be changed, if I would change my MQTT-ESP8266 Version to the new Libraries?
Can you bring a litte bit Light into this or did I oversaw history logging desrciptions?

Hi again, was there anything done?
I'm just checking to update another function to the ESP but still being lost in the changes required to reach the same VitoWifi status on 3.02.
