Bug: `calculate_adjacency_score` expects an ordered dataframe

Add an argument to specify whether the dataframe is already ordered because speed orders that internally. This is for calling the function outside speed.

This was recently reworked in my PR #119. Do you have a test case or example to see if this is still an issue?
