I have just set-up git on the Atari and it was going well until I did a git commit when it said:
git: xdiff/xutils.c:360: xdl_hash_record: Assertion '*ptr == \n'' failed.m
git show suggests it has added the commit.
It seems to like adding 'm' onto lots of the output.
