High Token Consumption

I am attempting to escalate a consumption usage issue that has recently started on or around 09/01/2026.

I am calling this out because it affects everyone and it does not seem to matter what model or reasoning level that is selected. I am on the Pro 20x plan and previously I struggled to use my weekly/monthly allotment before the weekly resets occur. Now, after September 1st consumption rate kills my weekly allowance in a matter of a couple days.

There are quite a few complaints submitted in the issues area regarding this problem. but the backlog is so behind that those working on the backlog will not get to them for several weeks or months depending.

I'm also experiencing this- my codex sessions (with the same workflow I've always used) are draining a week's usage in under 24 hours. I am on the 20x plan.
