Problems with keep alive

This client is not properly closing the connection if the server implements keep-alive. This may lead to connection issues due to the exhausting of network resources in the affected machines.

It appears that it is caused by the use of an older version Apache HTTPClient.

We may need to fix this issue by rewriting this code. Depending on the effort required, this fix will be left as is.
