Possible additions to linear algebra handout notes / content

For a more complete course, the linear algebra portion should probably include

• matrices as systems of linear equations (and how this relates to the geometric transformation description).
• eigenvalue decomposition (especially if we can find an application in chemistry: possibly group theory — similarity transforms?)
