Copenhagen Airport (CPH) is the main international gateway, well connected across Europe and beyond, with a direct metro and train link to the city centre.
+The campus sits about 15 km north of central Copenhagen, in Kongens Lyngby. There are two sensible approaches: stay locally in Lyngby, which gives you a short walk to the venue and quiet evenings, or stay in Copenhagen and travel in each morning, which takes roughly 40 minutes. Both work well. Lyngby has very few hotels, so if you want to be within walking distance, book early.

+## Staying near the venue
+
+> **Please note:** Lyngby town centre currently has no hotel. Scandic Eremitage has closed, and the Comwell hotel that will replace it on top of Lyngby Storcenter is still under construction and will not be open in October. The genuinely close options are therefore limited and are likely to fill up.

+## Staying in Copenhagen
+
+Many attendees might prefer to be in the city for livelier evenings and commute to DTU. Anywhere on the northern S-train corridor works well. Nørreport is the most convenient single point: direct S-trains to Lyngby, the 150S bus to campus, and the metro to the airport. Østerport, Vesterport, København H (Copenhagen Central Station), and Svanemøllen are all straightforward too.

+October is not peak season, but Copenhagen is busy year-round. As a rough guide for a standard double room per night:

+- Lyngby hotels: DKK 800–1,300 (about €105–175)
+- Budget hotels and hostel private rooms: DKK 500–900 (about €70–120)
+- Hostel dorm beds: from about DKK 250–400 (about €35–55)
+- Mid-range central Copenhagen: DKK 1,200–2,000 (about €160–270)

+### Tickets
+
+- Tickets are priced by zone and are valid across bus, S-train, metro, regional train and light rail on the same journey. An example trip from Central Copenhagen to DTU covers 5 zones.
+- For visitors, the simplest option is the Rejsebillet app for single tickets, or a City Pass for unlimited travel over 24 to 120 hours.
+- The price for a single ticket from Central Copenhagen to DTU is 46 DKK (6.15 EUR).
+- If you only plan to commute to DTU, without taking other means of transports in the evenings, buying a single ticket each way is more convenient.
+- If you decide to travel more often, you might consider a City Pass for different number of days, and it can be bought under “Special Tickets” in the Rejsebillet app. Choose City Pass Large (zones 1–99). It covers the airport, central Copenhagen and DTU. City Pass Small does not reach DTU.
+- Remember to buy a ticket before getting on the bus/train/metro. Fines are steep and are issued on the spot.

+- Metro line M2 to Nørreport (about 15 minutes), then S-train A, B or E to Lyngby (about 18 minutes), then the light rail to Anker Engelunds Vej (about 5 minutes).
+- Or: metro M2 to Nørreport, then bus 150S directly to Rævehøjvej.
+- By taxi, expect roughly DKK 550–750 (about €75–100) from the airport, or DKK 350–450 (about €47–60) from central Copenhagen. Local operators include Dantaxi, Taxa 4x35 and Uber, all of which have apps.

+ - Book early. There are only a handful of rooms genuinely close to campus, and Copenhagen fills up quickly.
+ - Cycling is a real option. Donkey Republic rental bikes are widely available, Lyngby to campus is an easy ride, and the whole route in from the city follows protected cycle paths, but will take around 50 min.
+ - October weather is typically 8–13 °C, often wet and windy. Bring a waterproof layer and shoes you can walk in.
+ - Plan routes with Google Maps or Rejseplanen app (different from Rejsebillet app). It is the local standard and handles the light rail, buses and trains together.
