Strange thing for bundle

When we are not in bundless mode and set the only index as the entry, then the file which is not used will still generate it's folder and types. Do I miss something?

The types is generated by TypeScript compiler API which is determined by tsconfig.json, it has nothing to do with bundle/bundleless mode of JavaScript. The default mode for types is bundleless. https://rslib.rs/guide/advanced/dts#what-are-bundle-declaration-files-and-bundleless-declaration-files

If you don't want some types emitted from specific files, you can set exclude in tsconfig.json.

Thanks for you clarification! Basically this question comes from could we generate the file that only comes from source.entry and it could looks like normally xx.d.ts + xx.(js|cjs), I use

But when I come to react project

If you don't want some types emitted from specific files, you can set exclude in tsconfig.json.

It's not that flexible to specify so many folders

https://rslib.rs/guide/faq/features#how-to-additionally-exclude-specified-dependencies-when-dtsbundle-is-true @types/react should notbe bundled.
And BTW, bundleless types is totally enough, you can set unique distpath for types if you think it have too many folders than js files.

If we write correct conditional exports in package.json, I think it does not matter.
