I like computers a little too much.
Most of my projects start with “I wonder if this would work” and end with me several layers deeper than I planned. I spend most of my time around Linux, networking, self-hosting, and software that solves a problem I personally have.
Right now I'm working on Telium, a federated chat platform where people can own their account and communities can run their own server. When I'm not working on that, I'm trying to develop a playable experience with Oculus Rift S on Linux by patching monado.
A few things I've made or maintain:
- retrac-linux-tools — research, Wine patches, and reproducible tooling for getting Retrac working on Linux.
- LiveTube — an Android app for playing YouTube in the background or with the screen off.
- Fat Dog Takeover — replaces every image on the internet with Fat Dog. This does exactly what it needs to do.
Noteworthy contributions:
- Vice Clipping Software — Fix an install script bug that prevented many from installing the software.
I also mess with homelab stuff, weird networking problems, old hardware, and making Linux run software that would rather I didn't.
More stuff lives at 20plays.com. And more at My GitHub Gists.
