The workflow merged upstream/master into upstream-sync/2026-06-15-1243 and pushed it, but could not open a PR automatically (token permissions). Open a PR from that branch into master manually.

The upstream-sync/2026-06-15-1243 branch is now stale — it branched at beta.2 and is 11 commits behind master (beta.3 → beta.7 have landed since), while carrying only one upstream change ("Mark as watched fix for anonymous account"). Merging it as-is would be messy.

Plan: redo the upstream sync fresh from current master on a new upstream-sync/<date> branch (upstream-merge + conflict resolution only, per RELEASE_PROCESS.md §1 / Gate D), build + smoke test, then land. Keeping this issue open until that fresh sync lands; will close referencing the new branch.
