deadFrom is honoured everywhere that writes data, and nowhere that serves it.

craftStablecoinChainsResponse has only if (pegged.doublecounted) return;. It then reads cache.peggedAssetsData[id].lastBalance unconditionally — which for a dead asset is frozen at whatever it held on its final day — and prices it with

smartBCH's entire reported stablecoin market cap is flexUSD, whose issuer shut down in 2022.

I could not stand up the api2 cache locally, so this is computed rather than run: I reproduced craftStablecoinChainsResponse's aggregation from the public chainCirculating payload and checked it against the published /stablecoinchains output first (10 chains, worst deviation 2.2%, which is drift between the two reads), then re-ran it with the dead assets skipped.

Scope

One line, in the chain-totals path only. getStableCoins.ts and getChainDominance.ts share the same omission, but dropping an asset from peggedAssets there would also remove its detail page, so that's a separate call — probably surfacing deadFrom in the payload next to the existing deprecated/delisted passthrough so consumers can filter.

Worth flagging: several of these were marked deadFrom in #801, #802, #803, #811, #812 and #825 specifically to stop them being counted at face value. That intent only took effect on the write side, which is what this restores.

tsc --noEmit produces the same 50 pre-existing errors before and after (test-runner types and an unrelated shared export); none are in this file.

Note there is one open PR touching this file — #856 (FX fallback for peggedREAL). Different function, different lines, but a rebase may be needed depending on merge order.
