Hi, I'm Jan Dyląg 👋

CS Student @ AGH University of Krakow

📖 About Me

I am currently a 4th-year Computer Science student at AGH University of Krakow. My academic journey has given me a solid foundation in algorithms and systems, and I've been putting it to work on the backend — most recently as a Backend Engineer Intern at Schibsted&Vend Polska, where I worked with Kafka, Redis and Spring Boot on production systems.

  • 🔭 Focus: On the backend I'm most comfortable in Python, Kotlin and Java; on the frontend I build with React and TypeScript.
  • 💼 Experience: Backend Engineer Intern @ Schibsted&Vend Polska (Jul–Aug 2026) - streaming/file handling, Redis-backed session management, Kafka event pipelines.
  • 🎓 Current Goal: Completing my engineering degree while building high-quality side projects.

⚡ Extra

  • 🎾 Tennis player: In my free time, especially during the summer, I love hitting the court and working on my serve.
  • 🧠 The discrete struggle: During my academic career, I struggled the most with Discrete Mathematics. To this day, I still remember the stress and sleepless nights... but I survived! 🫠🎖️
