…llel Every push to a branch here started two identical runs, push and pull_request, and 22 jobs queued behind the 20-job limit. Jobs now skip the pull_request copy of a branch in this repository (a fork's still runs), a newer commit cancels its branch's older run, pytest runs on all four cores (1,381 tests in 49 s against 1 min 55 s), and the Excel job caches the LibreOffice packages a slow mirror once stalled past its time limit.
The first run of the cache timed out at package 49 of about 50 on a slow mirror, and actions/cache saves nothing from a failed job. Download, save the cache whatever happened (keyed per run, restored newest first), then install from it, so progress carries over to the next run.

Every push to a branch here started two identical CI runs (push and pull_request), so 22 jobs queued behind GitHub's 20-job limit, and a superseded commit's run always finished.
-n auto): locally 1,381 tests in 49 s on four workers against 1 min 55 s on one, same results. No lane, Python version or check is removed. The workflow YAML parses and every job carries the condition.
