  • Opening now says what no other free tool does (automatic merge that keeps charts, tables and pivots working), worded as "as far as I know".
  • New How it compares table: xltrail, xlCompare, Git XL, daff, exceldiff and Excel co-authoring, dated September 2026 with an invitation to correct it.
  • New Why it's hard section backing the claim (XML parts renumbered on every save; tested with 69 tests on 3 OSes and fuzzing over ~3,000 real workbooks).
  • Fixes two overstatements: "every release fuzz-tested against thousands" (it's ~3,000 so far, not per release) and a roadmap line listing finished work as next.
  • GIF and doc links made absolute so they also show on PyPI; package description leads with the automatic merge (reaches PyPI with the next release).

- Lead with what no other free tool does: merge two versions of a
workbook automatically while keeping charts, tables and pivots working,
worded as 'as far as I know'.
- A comparison table against xltrail, xlCompare, Git XL, daff, exceldiff
and Excel co-authoring, dated and open to corrections.
- A short 'why it's hard' section backing the claim with how it works
  and how it's tested.
- Accuracy: the beta note claimed every release is fuzzed against
thousands of workbooks (about 3,000 so far, not per release), and the
roadmap line still listed finished work as next.
- Absolute links for the GIF and docs so the PyPI page shows them.
- Package description leads with the automatic merge.
