Playthrough progress
I explored Town Square, Tool Workshop, Code Hub, and Assessment Zone, tested multiple character and world-theme options, and tried the Course Enlistment, Persona Hall, Admin, Mission Tools, Assessment Observatory, Self-Evaluation, and portal interactions.
Bugs
- Fullscreen dialogs are inconsistent: Course Enlistment and Persona Hall interactions sometimes fail to open or advance while the game is fullscreen.
- The Code Hub HUD breaks around fullscreen: The HUD can disappear in fullscreen; after exiting fullscreen, it may scroll with the page instead of remaining attached to the game viewport.
- Collision boundaries do not match the map: The player can walk through areas that appear blocked in Town Square, and collision is also unreliable in Tool Workshop map.
- Code Hub exit hitboxes are inaccurate: Exits activate only when the player is very close to a robot instead of when entering the visible portal or segment.
- Movement speed is inconsistent: Horizontal movement is much faster than vertical movement, diagonal movement is too fast, and the player can occasionally become unusually slow or fast.
- Debug hitboxes appear during transitions: Large red collision rectangles briefly flash while changing maps.
- Some dialog text has spelling and spacing problems: Examples include awkward spacing around words including "appearance" and "work", along with misspelled or poorly wrapped Persona Hall and World Theme text.
- Hints and Questions are not contextual: Repeated hint requests can return "Hello there, friend!" instead of useful guidance, the original question also says the same thing, "Hello there, friend!".
- Self-Evaluation fails to load: Opening the saved self-evaluation displays Unable to load your self-evaluation right now.
- Mission Tools and Assessment Observatory can route to the same place: These separate entrances sometimes open the same destination.
- World Portal can activate without input: Walking between World Portal and Identity Terminal can open the portal without pressing
E.
- Selected world themes do not always apply: The dialog reports that a theme was applied, but the map appearance does not change.
UX Friction
- Interaction targets are unclear: Visual portals, robots, and the actual activation areas do not line up, so it is difficult to know where to stand.
- Fullscreen behavior is unpredictable: Important menus and controls behave differently between windowed and fullscreen modes, making navigation harder.
- The Admin challenge prompt is too vague: The question does not clearly explain what kind of answer is expected.
- The hint system does not help recovery: When stuck, the repeated greeting gives no clue about the next action or the expected answer.
- Movement makes navigation frustrating: Unequal directional speed and occasional speed changes make precise movement difficult.
- Failure states lack recovery guidance: The Self-Evaluation error does not explain whether to retry, refresh, or recreate the saved data.
Feature Idea
- Add a cookie upgrade shop with an input-sensitivity setting: Let players adjust mouse sensitivity and spend cookies on upgrades such as autoclickers or new cookie types with different values. This would make the cookie activity easier to control and give its rewards more purpose.
- Altering dialogs for each different segment of conversing with Quest NPCs: When interacting with quest NPCs, instead of the conversation being preserved, there should be a different interaction for the 3 stages of conversation with an NPC. There should be one greeting you for your first interaction, a quest in progress interaction re-explaining the quest, and a quest completed interaction for once the quest is complete. The stage of conversation would not change until a new stage is reached.
