Why

The README demo was a 5-second loop of one table and two commands, with identical usage numbers for every account and no indication of what each part showed.

What

  • New README demo (docs/assets/cli-demo.gif, 21s, 181KB): titled scenes for account list → usage at a glance → one session on another account with the default login untouched → switch → install card.
  • docs/demo/render.sh renders from VHS scenes against a throwaway fixture (/tmp/aas-demo), touching no real account:
    • --mode intro (first-time introduction) or --mode changes (what is new since the last release; scenes/changes.tape is rewritten per release from CHANGELOG [Unreleased])
    • --channel readme (GIF, overwrites the README asset), social (1280x720 MP4), square (860x860 MP4, sized to 81 columns so the usage table fits with the largest possible text)
  • Removes the old cli-demo.tape and cli-usage-sessions.gif; README's Develop section points to the new script.

Verification

  • Rendered all four mode/channel combinations and checked frames.
  • bash -n and shellcheck -S warning pass on the demo scripts.

Replace the 5-second single-table GIF with a 21-second scene-based intro
(account list, usage, an isolated session that leaves the default login
alone, a switch, and a closing install card). docs/demo/render.sh renders
it from a throwaway fixture in /tmp/aas-demo, with --mode intro|changes
(first-time introduction vs. what is new since the last release) and
--channel readme|social|square (GIF for README, 1280x720 and 860x860 MP4).
