Current English datasheets for Pisonics inline density and concentration meters. Always the released revision — superseded documents are removed rather than kept alongside, so whatever is here is what to quote from.
| Product | What it measures | Revision | Datasheet |
|---|---|---|---|
| PS7000 | Slurry density — ultrasonic acoustic impedance | Rev. A · 2026-08 | PS7000-DS-EN-A.pdf |
| PS7010 | Slurry density — ultrasonic attenuation, clamp-on | Rev. A · 2026-08 | PS7010-DS-EN-A.pdf |
| PS7020 | Solution concentration — ultrasonic time-of-flight | Rev. A · 2026-08 | PS7020-DS-EN-A.pdf |
More are being added. If the one you need is not here, ask info@pisonics.com — we will send it and add it.
All three are ultrasonic, and they are not interchangeable. They measure different physical quantities and fail in different ways.
| PS7000 | PS7010 | PS7020 | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Principle | Acoustic impedance (reflection) | Acoustic attenuation (transmission) | Time of flight (sound speed) |
| Medium | Slurry, entrained air permitted | Slurry, low bubble content required | Clean solutions, bubble-free |
| Accuracy | ±1 % FS | ±1 % FS | ±0.0005 / ±0.001 / ±0.005 g/cm³ (three classes) |
| Nominal bore | DN50–DN1000 (larger on request) | DN50–DN500 | Spool DN25 / DN50, others to order |
| Medium temperature | 0 to 80 °C; 120 °C version | 0 to 80 °C | −20 to +80 °C; +120 °C version |
| Mounting | Spool or welded boss, sensor flush with bore | Clamp-on, no pipe penetration, or spool | Spool / tri-clamp / insertion |
| Pick it when | Abrasive slurry, large bore, gas present | The line cannot be tapped | Clean binary solution, fine resolution needed |
Three questions settle most selections:
- Is there abrasive suspended solid? If yes, PS7020 is out.
- Is there entrained gas? If yes, PS7010 struggles — a void fraction well under one percent can absorb the transmission path.
- Can the pipe be tapped? If no, PS7010 clamp-on is the one that works.
Longer version: how to choose an industrial online density meter.
- Two 4–20 mA outputs, NAMUR NE43 compliant
- RS485 Modbus-RTU and HART 5
- Ex d IIC T6 Gb available as an option
- Remote wall-mounted transmitter, sensor separate
Where this page and a PDF differ, the PDF is correct.
| Modbus RTU register map, with Python and C# clients | ps7000-modbus |
| HART command set and status decoding | ps7000-hart |
| Slurry concentration and dredge production maths | density-calc |
Written for engineers choosing between measurement principles, not for search engines:
- Acoustic impedance explained — what the PS7000 actually measures
- Ultrasonic attenuation coefficient — and why particle size changes the calibration
- All measurement principles compared
- Non-nuclear alternatives to Cs-137 gauges
Published under CC BY 4.0, so you can include these in tender packages, design files and internal specifications without asking.
Specifications are subject to change. For a quotation or a firm specification against a specific process, contact info@pisonics.com — the datasheet describes the standard product, and most installations have at least one thing about them that is not standard.
