rlaunch's dependency on xinerama

why is it that when one uses an xserver compiled without xinerama support, rlaunch does not work?

rlaunch should not have such a strong dependency on xinerama, it is just an application launcher.
this dependency should be removed and rlaunch should atleast launch on xservers compiled without xinerama support.
