The randfall test xdg_popup_parent_cycle causes an infinite loop within the function smithay::desktop::wayland::popup::manager::find_popup_root_surface.
The randfall test creates two popup surfaces, and then sets them to be each other's parent. When Smithay tries to find the root (parent, non-popup) surface, it will search forever, going back and forth between the two windows. This permanently freezes the application.
