Increasing margins between symbols and outer edge to allow for bleed in printing

It would be great if there were a way to increase the gap between the characters and the edge of the image, to allow for larger bleed margins when printing directly onto circular cards.

You mean adding a radial margin for each circular card ? so that symbols are not too close to the circular edge once printed ?

By the way, how do you print directly on circular cards ?!!
The current output is a A4 PDF, meant to be printed and then cut

Yes that's what I mean, widening the margin of blank space between the symbols and the circular edge of the card.

When I uploaded the individual card images for printing, the symbols overlapped the bleed margin on this website. To make it work, I had to eliminate the circle entirely (by making it bigger than the file image), then rotate the image by 15 degrees so that it would shrink slightly and then I could readjust it manually to fit within the bleed margin. But that is a manual and time-consuming process, it would be nicer if I could just widen the margin so the symbols would automatically stay within it.

Why not printing it on A4 with a plastic overlay at your local printer, and then manually cutting the cards with scissors ?

Hi Thomas, I do that too, though it is very time-consuming. And although it's fine for a single deck for personal use, I'm developing these decks as a resource for teaching and learning Chinese characters, and depending on the interest from the Chinese-teaching community, I may need hundreds of decks. As I develop each one, I go through iterations and notice things that need changing, and if I need to manually readjust the orientation of every card in the deck on that website, it gets very tiresome. While we're on the subject, I noticed something else that could be improved. Is it possible to optimise the PDF layout to make maximum use of space? I've adjusted my card size to 3.5 inches, and having only 2 cards per page is not optimal. So every time I make a deck, I create my own Word document with six cards per page so I only need to print 10 pages instead of 29 (see attachment). It seems like a programming nightmare, but it would be nice for the cards in the PDF to automatically make maximum use of the available space. Regards, Brent.
