slow control messages and alert payloads are compressed if above a threshold.... but SlowControlCollection has no configuraton, so no way to change it from the default (arbitrarily 1024 bytes) currently.
decompression is likewise provided and is done transparently based on zstd header check.
decompression support added to RemoteControl.
Anything else that receives to slow control replies and/or alert payloads?
