Might consider but I am also trying to find a way to make the exe portable. So need for creating a folder in program files for the app. Double click the app exe file and you're good to go. Though I am not sure how to make all files related in the exe.

@Hu-Wentao Asked some people and it seems that the Single File Application format is not possible when using Flutter currently. So will be working on packaging with msix, and will release a new version soon with all platforms built for. 🚀

No @YazeedAlKhalaf it is possible to build msis. but we must use visual studios for that and need to install a plugin/extension for that. I will let you know that soon how to do that. But the thing is as it is single time using application we don't need it @Hu-Wentao.

The one I meant is only one exe and no other files. Like you just download a single file that does not install any other stuff for the user. This is not possible unless you build the flutter engine yourself. I have opened an issue at the flutter repo and they told me no possible right now.

Plus msix package is suggested by the Flutter website, which is good.

Next release will have 4 assets for the installer:

1. windows version .zip file
2. windows version .msix file
3. macos version
4. linux version

I am also planning on putting it on the Microsoft Windows Store, that way people feel more comfortable using the app.

UPDATE:

Some weird errors popped up when uploading the app after using .msix to install it.

Will be using regular methods for 0.0.8, and make sure I upload all platforms so people can use the latest features.

This will be a good idea. and yeah single exe is not possible. Hope you can close this or add a tag like on next update or something.
