I am experiencing a reproducible SP upload issue with a Sony LAM-Z10.
Configuration:
- Sony LAM-Z10
- Windows 11
- WinUSB driver installed via Zadig
- Web MiniDisc Pro 1.5.3 Desktop
- Also tested with ElectronWMD
- Standard recordable MiniDisc
Symptoms:
- NetMD connection works normally.
- Disc erase works normally.
- LP2 uploads work perfectly.
- LP4 uploads work perfectly.
- SP uploads systematically fail at the end of the first track.
- The problem also occurs with a freshly erased disc and only one track.
- During the failed SP transfer, the LAM-Z10 reaches "TOC EDITING".
Web MiniDisc then reports:
"Error uploading to device.
There might not be enough space left,
or an unknown error occurred."
There is plenty of free space on the MiniDisc.
I reproduced exactly the same SP failure using ElectronWMD.
Important hardware test:
Direct CD-to-MD recording in SP at normal speed works correctly on the same LAM-Z10.
Therefore the unit is able to record SP audio and successfully write/finalize a TOC when recording directly from CD.
Test results:
- NetMD SP: FAIL
- NetMD LP2: OK
- NetMD LP4: OK
- Direct CD -> MD SP recording: OK
- Disc erase through Web MiniDisc Pro: OK
- I also opened the DevTools console during an SP transfer.
The source file is FLAC, 44.1 kHz stereo. Web MiniDisc successfully converts it to 16-bit / 44.1 kHz PCM before the NetMD error occurs.

This error occurs only with SP uploads.
The same LAM-Z10, USB connection and MiniDisc successfully complete LP2 and LP4 uploads, including TOC EDITING.
Direct CD-to-MD recording also works in SP.
It therefore seems to be specifically related to the NetMD SP upload path on the LAM-Z10.
I still have the LAM-Z10 available for testing and would be happy to run additional tests, provide complete DevTools logs, or test a patched build if useful.
