Hi, I'm Alexander (@avtomatik)

I am a Python Software Engineer focused on building backend systems, internal enterprise tools, and system integrations.

My work sits in the intersection of:

  • backend API development
  • enterprise system integration
  • internal automation tools
  • production support and operational systems
  • data processing pipelines where needed

I build software that connects systems, automates internal workflows, and supports real production environments in large organizations.

What I Work On

  • Backend systems and REST APIs

    • FastAPI-based services for internal platforms and integrations
    • service-to-service communication in enterprise environments
  • System integration and enterprise workflows

    • integration between internal systems and external services
    • Registration Authority workflows and certificate-related systems
    • X.509 certificate generation and validation for integration testing
  • Automation and internal tooling

    • internal tools for operational teams
    • workflow automation for business processes
    • production support tooling and debugging utilities
  • Data processing and ETL workflows

    • structured data transformation pipelines
    • file-based and database-based ingestion workflows
    • reporting and operational data preparation

Technical Skills

  • Languages: Python (primary), Rust (secondary), Bash
  • Backend: FastAPI, REST APIs, Pydantic, Uvicorn
  • Data & SQL: PostgreSQL, SQLite, DuckDB, SQL
  • Data Processing: ETL pipelines, Pandas, dbt (basic usage), Parquet
  • Infrastructure: Docker, Linux, Git, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
  • Concepts: system integration, API design, production debugging, workflow automation

Key Projects

textloom (Python)

Lightweight library for text processing and reusable transformation utilities
https://pypi.org/project/textloom/

renamex (Rust)

CLI tool for structured batch file renaming using rule-based transformations
https://crates.io/crates/renamex

Mock Integration System

Docker-based simulation framework for external systems used in integration testing

Includes:

  • RA/CA workflow simulation
  • X.509 certificate generation and validation
  • isolated environment testing for backend services

Current Focus

  • improving backend system design and reliability
  • strengthening CI/CD and testing practices
  • building robust integration and automation systems
  • expanding understanding of distributed system behavior in enterprise environments

Open to Work On

  • backend systems and API development
  • enterprise system integration
  • internal automation platforms
  • workflow orchestration systems
  • data processing pipelines for operational systems
