error during load chrome extension

Is this project alive?

When trying to install the chrome extension, at step "Click "Load unpacked" and select the unzipped extension folder" i get an error: Unsupported Manifest Version Error:

Die Erweiterung kann nicht installiert werden, da sie eine nicht unterstützte Manifestversion verwendet. Manifest konnte nicht geladen werden.

Hey, yeah chrome deprecated manifest V2 and I haven't taken the time to look into migrating to V3, and it may not even technically be possible.

For now if you really want you can use a browser like Brace that still supports V2. Or take a look at converting the extensions manifest / extensions background script to be V3.
