Just discovered your app this weekend and love it! Any chance you'll support local extras and special features in the future? Those are a big part of my Plex library and would love to migrate to this app.

Hello, thanks for the kind words! It's not a feature I use, so it has never been prioritized. But It should be relatively easy to implement given the current architecture of the app. I'll give it a look now.

Implementation is now in progress on thatcube-unified-media-extras.

Scope: unified local extras for Plex, Jellyfin, Emby, and network shares, with shared tvOS/iOS presentation. The confirmed strategy covers provider-native playback/progress, show + season aggregation, episode extras on Episode Info, collection ownership, safe share discovery, and a detail-only Extras rail for V1.

Amazing, thanks so much for considering this and adding it! And thanks for including progress! That's awesome, something I've been begging the Infuse folks to add (a few apps support this, like Swiftfin and Plezy.) Plozz is awesome, going to be my number one app!

Well I'll be happy to hear your thoughts when this feature is done and you can test it! And feel free to provide any other feature ideas if there's anything else you've been begging Infuse to add or that you just generally miss :)

Mainly I am focused on polishing the app and fixing any bugs, but I'm happy to add a feature if I think it's essential or will benefit everyone!

Will likely release to the app store for everyone sometime soon (maybe in the next month or so).

Thanks so much for adding this feature! I'm waiting for it to hit the tvOS TestFlight to give it a try. I tested it out on iOS though and it works great!

I usually use Plex, but I spun up a Jellyfin server to try and be helpful in my testing (figured I would compare the two and see if there is anything helpful I could report.) It is working really well on both, one thing I noticed is that Plex is using the movie's artwork instead of the thumbnail for the extra/special feature. In other apps Plex has a thumbnail for the extra, I'm guessing they might just call it something different.

Thanks again so much for implementing these, I meant to write back that I tested it out on tvOS and it works great! The only quirk I noticed was the thumbnail issue mentioned above for iOS. I hope you don't mind, I wanted to save you the leg work so I dug into the issue a bit with Claude to see if I could find a quick fix to share since it seems to be a Plex quirk (Jellyfin worked perfectly!) Here's what I learned below:

Bug: Plex extras show the movie's fanart instead of their own thumbnail
Root cause: MediaItem.artworkCandidates(for:) in PosterCardView.swift has a special case for episodes that skips backdropURL in favor of posterURL, but no equivalent case for clips/extras (kind == .video). So extras fall into the generic .landscape branch, which tries backdropURL first — and for a Plex clip, backdropURL is populated from dto.art, which Plex inherits from the parent movie, not the clip itself (the same inheritance quirk already handled for episodes, just not extended here). The clip's own correct thumbnail (posterURL, mapped from Plex's thumb) sits second in the list and never gets used.
Fix — add a .video case in artworkCandidates(for:), PosterCardView.swift:
