Problem / motivation
Capture an onboarding improvement idea inspired by the supplied screenshot of Strand on iOS.
Plozz could make first-run setup more approachable by explaining where content comes from and helping users choose a setup path before asking for connection details. The reference clearly separates restoring an existing setup from connecting a new content source.
Proposed solution
Explore an onboarding source-selection hub with:
- A short explanation that Plozz plays media from the user's own sources rather than supplying content itself.
- A prominent option to restore or sync an existing Plozz setup when available.
- Large, easy-to-tap cards with distinct icons, clear titles, and short explanations for supported source categories, such as media servers and network/file shares.
- Progressive disclosure: choose a category first, then the particular service or protocol and its connection details. Keep Jellyfin and Plex co-equal.
- Clear Continue, Back, and Skip Setup actions, with an obvious way to finish setup later.
Use the reference as interaction and information-hierarchy inspiration, not a pixel-for-pixel copy. Adapt it to Plozz's visual style, Dynamic Type, and VoiceOver. The reference is iOS-specific; consider reusing the flow on tvOS with appropriate focus navigation.
