Project CARTIO: Performance Analysis of Identity Protocols

This repository hosts the experimental data and statistical evidence for the evaluation of identity synchronization protocols (LDAP/ASN.1 vs. SCIM/JSON) in degraded communication environments.

Research Overview

The data provided here supports the PhD thesis developed at the Military Engineering Institute (IME), Brazil. The study measures protocol resilience across five distinct network profiles:

  • Baseline (Scenario 00): Controlled environment for overhead estimation.
  • Satellite (Scenario 01): High latency (GEO RTT ~ 600ms).
  • Tactical Radio (Scenario 02): Bandwidth constraints and channel occupation priority.
  • Disaster/DIL (Scenario 03): High packet loss and intermittent connectivity.
  • Extreme Chaos (Scenario 04): Protocol rupture points under 40% packet loss.

Statistical Rigor

To address the requirements of the examining committee, this repository includes:

  1. Raw Throughput Logs: Time-series data (Kbps/Mbps) for all test iterations.
  2. Confidence Intervals (CI): Calculations for 95% confidence levels to ensure statistical significance.
  3. Variance Analysis: Standard deviation and error margin reports for each scenario.

Repository Structure

The data is organized by scenario folders. Each folder contains CSV files with execution timestamps and measured throughput, followed by a summary file with the consolidated statistical metrics.

About

Throughput data and statistical analysis for Project CARTIO (PhD Thesis at IME). Evaluates LDAP vs SCIM protocols in degraded (DIL) scenarios, such as satellite and tactical radio links. Includes raw logs, 95% confidence intervals, and performance reports for validation.
