How to copy table data to S3 in compression format like gzip using aws_s3.query_export_to_s3 pg function

I wanted to know if there is a way to compress data before we can copy the data to S3. I think this will reduce the IO cost to transfer the file. Please let me know.

I tried passing PROGRAM option but it is not working. I don't know the filelocation where the data is kept in disk before it is uploaded to S3.
