Summary

  • Handle malformed reference sources without aborting the entire analysis.
  • Improve Companion failure diagnostics and connection error messages.
  • Refresh visible results after scans and entity filter changes.
  • Use atomic quarantine moves to prevent copy-and-delete data loss.
  • Preserve support for existing quarantine records.
  • Improve English and Dutch translations and update documentation.
  • Prepare app and Companion version 1.1.2.

Validation

  • 149 Python tests passed; 1 skipped.
  • Reference UI regression tests passed.
  • English and Dutch translation regression tests passed.
  • Companion installation ZIP built successfully.
  • Git diff whitespace checks passed.

Testing and recovery

This is a test release. Live Home Assistant validation is still required.

New quarantine operations store files in .hass-cleaner-quarantine inside the Home Assistant configuration directory. Cross-filesystem moves are refused. Existing quarantine remains supported.

Create a full backup including Home Assistant configuration and app data before testing. Update both the app and Companion.
