Write a toy agentic code editor in Python, similar to Claude Code or Cursor's Agent Mode. Understand how agents work from scratch by using free models on OpenRouter (via the OpenAI SDK) to create an LLM-powered code agent. You'll use function calling and feedback loops to build an agent that can find and fix bugs in a real project!
My Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Honestly, I've been hiding under a rock when it comes to AI, so this course was a great introduction to what coding agents do under the hood and how to interact with models with the OpenAI SDK for Python. I also became much more comfortable navigating the file system in my Python code. I was very impressed with how the models reasoned about my prompts. I also monitored how the token usage increased with the complexity of the task and the number of messages we sent as necessary context.
