I partner with leadership to turn business constraints into scalable, measurable outcomes. Twenty-two years across startups and Fortune 500 enterprises, spanning healthcare, finance, marketing, and e-commerce, with the engineering depth and the business context to make the right call at every layer of the stack.

I lead with outcomes first. I mentor the teams around me, get hands-on when the work demands it, and stay curious enough to recognize when the conventional approach is the wrong one.

Currently open to remote engineering leadership roles. CTO, VP Engineering, Chief Architect, or Head of AI Engineering.

Featured Work

AI-Powered Clinical Lab Review Pipeline

Designed and led the build of a self-hosted LLM pipeline that automated health coach lab reviews against clinical guidelines, in a HIPAA-regulated environment.

Metric Result
Throughput 400%+ improvement, from ~10 patient reviews per coach per day to 50+
Turnaround Under 5 minutes, down from a 45-minute manual baseline
Clinical accuracy 87% of AI-generated recommendations approved without modification
Reliability 99.3% uptime across the MVP period
Compliance PHI and PII de-identified at the pipeline boundary, never transmitted to the model

Self-hosted Llama 2 with retrieval-augmented generation over AMA clinical standards. Event-sourced on GCP Pub/Sub, containerized on GKE, with VPC Service Controls, CMEK encryption, and full audit logging. Delivered across four phase-gated cycles with three engineers and one QA.

Read the full case study → Covers stakeholder alignment, the technology-readiness evaluation, architecture decisions and their rationale, HIPAA compliance design, phased delivery, and lifecycle support.

What I Deliver

Outcome Example
Operational leverage A property management platform letting a single employee run leasing, tenant relations, and service dispatch across 500+ rental units
Revenue at scale A distributor procurement portal for Anheuser-Busch that transacted $500M+ in its first two years and remains their sole marketing purchasing platform
Reliability Replaced a legacy monolithic API with event-driven microservices and federated GraphQL, taking critical-service uptime above 99.99%
New market access A B2B eligibility and enrollment service opening health portal access to CVS Health and Blue Shield members nationwide
Durable architecture Container-native microservices sized for the volume the business will have in three years, not the volume it has today

How I Work

  • Outcomes over output. I measure success by business impact, not by what shipped.
  • Clarity before code. I invest in stakeholder alignment and technical design documents before a line is written.
  • Mentor first. I would rather grow the engineers around me than be the smartest person in the room.
  • Global by default. I have built and led distributed teams across four continents and know what that actually costs.

Leadership Scope

Region Scope
United States 50+ engineers, including hiring, performance management, and termination authority
LATAM 24 engineers
Europe 13 engineers
Asia 30+ engineers and contract teams in India

Figures are cumulative across Parsley Health and InnerWorkings. Peak single-organization scope was architectural direction for a 45+ engineer group at Parsley Health.

Beyond headcount: technology budget and spend authority, end-to-end vendor and service procurement, and principal technical advisor to the CTO and EPD leadership.
