XFS filesystems created as version 4 are [deprecated in the Linux kernel since commit f69260511c69](https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=f69260511c69).

As Grml uses the Linux kernel unchanged from Debian, this means XFS v4 filesystems cannot be mounted anymore since Linux kernel 6.18, which corresponds to Grml 2026.04.

If you have such an old filesystem, you can try to use an older Grml release, for example Grml 2025.12.
