Timeouts when using a terminal session

When I am typing on a terminal session, I see constant timeouts, every few seconds and I need to press enter to reconnect.

I am attaching the log of Home Assistant Community App: Advanced SSH & Web Terminal below.

Thanks for the report. The log you attached shows a healthy start: sshd and ttyd both come up and nothing is failing afterwards, so the app itself is not restarting or dropping the session on its side.

The behaviour you describe (the terminal freezes every few seconds and needs a reconnect) is almost always the WebSocket connection between your browser and Home Assistant being cut by something in between. The Web Terminal runs over a long-lived WebSocket through Home Assistant ingress, and reverse proxies or tunnels with short idle timeouts, or that do not handle WebSockets properly, produce exactly this pattern.

To narrow it down, could you share:

1. How you reach Home Assistant when this happens: directly on the local network by IP, via a reverse proxy (Nginx Proxy Manager, Traefik, Caddy, ...), Cloudflare Tunnel, Nabu Casa Remote UI, a VPN, ...?
2. Whether it also happens when you open Home Assistant directly by its local IP address in the same browser.
3. Whether SSH sessions to the app (port 7122 in your setup) stay stable while the Web Terminal is timing out.

If it only happens through a proxy or tunnel, that is where the fix needs to go (WebSocket support and a longer idle timeout).
