As we have noted earlier, _WebSocket_ is not [supported](https://github.com/jeff1evesque/whisper#overview) by Internet Explorer 9-. We will implement a [flash-based](https://github.com/tavendo/AutobahnPython/tree/master/examples/twisted/websocket/echo_wsfallbacks) _WebSocket_, which allows these browsers to utilize the _WebSocket protocol_.
