Two vectors have to be the same size

This seems to only work when the two vectors are of the same size? Is this 
requirement overcomeable?

I've update the issue as a "request for enhancement" since it is not meant 
(currently) to work with variable length data.

Yes, we could upgrade to software to replace the constraint that the vectors 
have fixed size by some other set of definitions.

However, we need to have sane definitions. There are many definitions for the 
distance between same-size vectors. When the vectors have different length, 
defining the distance becomes more tricky.

Typically, the way forward is to resample your data so that they have the same 
size. This can be done using linear interpolation, for example.
