The Little Alchemist

You can play the game here: https://zerasul.itch.io/the-little-alchemist

Its your first day at the Magic and Alchemy School. Lets see how you can create new Magics Potions with Sobrenatural Powers.

In this game, you can create new potions by mixing different ingredients. Each recipe has a specific combination of ingredients that will yield a unique potion.

The game show you some Minigames to grab the ingredients or mix them in a cauldron. Each Minigame has a different mechanic, and you need to complete them to get the ingredients or mix them correctly.

The game has a total of 2 recipes (tutorial and final) and 4 minigames (2 for tutorial and 2 for final). Each recipe has a specific combination of ingredients that you need to gather by completing the minigames.

This game is done for the The Shorter The better Jam 2026, and it is still in development, so it may contain some errors and bugs. If you find any error or bug, please report it to the developer, so it can be fixed as soon as possible.

Mini Games

MiniGame 1

  • Ingredient Gathering: In this minigame, you need to gather the ingredients by moving the cauldron arround the screen and collecting the falling ingredients. You need to collect a specific number of each ingredient to complete the recipe. You have a limited time to gather all the ingredients, so you need to be quick and strategic, and avoid collecting the wrong ingredients that can ruin your potion. If you collect 3 wrong ingredients, or the time runs out, you fail the minigame is failed and you need to start again (for tutorial, you go to next recipe).

MiniGame 2

  • Mixing: In this minigame, you need to mix the ingredients in the cauldron by stirring it in a specific way. You need to tap the screen and make circular motions to stir the cauldron. You need to stir it for a specific amount of time to complete the recipe. If you stop stirring for too long, or you stir it in the wrong way, you fail the minigame and you need to start again (for tutorial, you go to next recipe).
