GDEY075Z08 panel support

Hello,

are there any news regarding the support of GDEY075Z08 B/W/R panel? I found a discussion about it here:

martinberlin/cale-idf#86

but it is still not supported. I am trying to make it work myself in the CalEPD component, but so far no luck.

Sorry Petr,
But you are on your own here because I’m not really interested in adding this old Einks as I’ve no use for them. It’s just sending commands till it finally works, just check how is done the yellow version, and specially if it has same controller inside.
Then it should be not so hard to get it running.
Try flashing also the non color version.

Forgot to say that if GDEY075Z08 is supported in GxEPD or anywhere else, you can just check the right commands and make a new class for that here. Make sure you have all SPI connections right before concluding the commands do not do anything :)

Please tell me if you are interested on this and I will reopen it.
CalEpd is open for collaboration and research. What I really cannot do is to help implementing each display specially when I do not have it in my studio

Thank you for the reply, Martin. I will look into it and try to make it work. I am not sure if just changing the commands is enough, since unlike GDEY075T7 I used, the Z08 has full refresh duration of about 26 seconds. I will have to look into it more deeply. In the GxEPD, the code for Z08 is pretty messy.

Yes GxEPD is pretty messy all around that's what pushed me to make CalEPD
