'Add comment' CTA at top of page

Where a comment thread is really long, users have to scroll right to the bottom of the page to be able to add a new comment against the orginal discussion. Could we add a "Add Comment" CTA at the top of the comments that would quickly take users to the input field so they could contribute their comment?

No worries, what we were looking for here was to keep the form at the bottom but introduce another button at the top that could quickly take people down to the form where for example there are really long threads

Hi @jpmaHub in reply to this our thinking is that we need two CTAs when replying to a discussion topic.
One just below the original post. This should be labelled "Reply to this topic".

Clicking on this button will anchor link you to the rich text entry field at the bottom of the page. It will also focus you on the field so that your cursor is inside the field and you are ready to start typing inside it.

We also need the CTA below the field to be labelled "Submit reply". This is so that there is less confusion about the difference between the functionality of the two buttons and so we can be more explicit about what they do.

However, potentially this might look a little strange in discussions with no or very few replies, and it seems unnecessary to jump to the bottom of the page when there are so few replies. In that case, is it possible to only have the "Reply to this topic" CTA appear only when a certain number of replies have been posted. For instance 3 replies?

I don't think hiding the button depending on number of replies will work because of different screen sizes, lengths of replies etc

I'm sure there is something clever that we could do to make it hidden if submit button is visible in viewport though. Although this part of the requirement feels like a nice to have
