Summary
Apply the Original Creation, Modification and Access Dates of Files and Folders during Restore Process
Motivation / Use case
Hi there,
thanks for offering this fine piece of software (Restic for the rest of us ;-) as a Desktop application on Linux, macOS and Windows.
Perhaps you may consider to make Zerobyte keep the original Creation, Modification and Access Dates of the Files and Folders of which it makes a backup. These three dates could then be applied to files and directories while they are restored.
At the moment (Zerobyte desktop v0.42.0-alpha.1, AppImage, local filessystem as backup target) Zerobtye applies the wrong Creation Date (time and date of the restore) to files and folders instead of the original one.
Proposed solution
Apply the Original Creation, Modification and Access Dates of Files and Folders during Restore Process
Impact
Medium
