A free, open-source order-flow indicator for TradingView (Pine Script v6). It reads pressure — who is actually leaning on the order book, and how one-sided that flow has become — instead of just price.
Built by EnsoTrade, a live crypto order-flow terminal.
Toxic Flow Radar estimates "toxic" (informed) order flow using a VPIN-style imbalance model — the same idea market makers use to detect when smart money is loading before a move. When aggressive flow gets one-sided, liquidity thins and volatility tends to follow. The radar surfaces that build-up early, instead of after the candle has already printed.
| Signal | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 🟢 Green columns | Buyers are pressing |
| 🔴 Red columns | Sellers are pressing |
| Tall + bright | Toxic, one-sided flow — conviction high, a move is likely |
| Short + dim | Calm, balanced flow — low conviction, expect chop |
| 🟡 Yellow diamond | Absorption — heavy flow but price stalls, often quiet accumulation/distribution before a break |
| Status panel | Live state + score, e.g. TOXIC up - buyers 0.61 |
Dashed line = Toxic level. Dotted line = Elevated level. Background shades while flow is toxic.
Treat it as a confluence / volatility filter, not a standalone buy/sell. The cleanest setups: a toxic reading in the direction of your bias as price reaches a level you already care about. Calm, dim readings are a signal to stand down. Built-in alerts fire on toxic flow and absorption.
- Open TradingView → Pine Editor.
- Paste
toxic_flow_radar.pine. - Save → Add to chart.
- Use any symbol that has volume (e.g.
BINANCE:BTCUSDT). Aggregate feeds without volume will show empty.
- Flow window — lookback for the flow read (lower = snappier).
- Smoothing — stabilises the line.
- Elevated / Toxic levels — tune sensitivity to your market and timeframe.
Works on every plan — no lower-timeframe data required.
This is a proxy. It infers buy/sell pressure from candle structure and volume, because TradingView does not expose raw tick-by-tick order flow. It is genuinely useful as a regime and pressure gauge, but a candle proxy can only approximate the real order book.
If you want the real thing — live tick order flow, funding, open interest, dealer gamma and an options volatility surface in one screen — that is what we build at EnsoTrade. This indicator is the free, candle-based taste of that idea.
Note: EnsoTrade the terminal is not the ENSO token or Enso Finance, an unrelated DeFi project.
MIT — use it, fork it, improve it. PRs and issues welcome.
