I just so happen to have written such a library https://github.com/php1ic/nuclear-data-reader
The library reads the mass tables from AME and NUBASE, as well as the AME reaction tables so will allow the chart to be coloured by more properties.
Set it as a submodule to this repo, and at this stage use the the latest commits.
