Google Font GUI?

It might be advantageous to have an app floating around your computers' app directory when the Google Fonts are installed, on the basis that they are a potentially quite large "locally global" disk state mutation (and you might be liable to forget!)

Is it possible that a repo fork would be necessary? Or would a GUI Google Font management app be within the scope of this project?

Using something like Electron would make it pretty easy to make a GUI for
installing and updating the fonts.

I however don't have the time required to do something like this, but if
someone does and puts in a PR I will be happy to merge it
