Can Indego add-on be the cause to lock-up the S+500 mower?

The day I installed this add-on in Home Assistant I got the following problem with my Indego S+500 mover.
When I switch on the Indego mover (button at the back) the display lights-up and the text "Starting Up" briefly appears. Then the text "Indego switched-off" (in Dutch "Indego uitgeschakeld") appears and the mover doesn't react to any key press.
I preformed already the following steps (with no succes).

• Switched of the mover for more than 2 minutes.
• Unplugged the docking station from the mains power.
• Replaced the battery for a fully charged and brand new one.

Might the add-on be the cause (specific API-call etc) that the mover got locked-up?

What are the options for a hard reset to unlock the mover? I don't mind to open up the mover.

Hi, to be honest, i dont think the integration is the root cause for your problem. I also have a S+ 500 and never had such a problem, i am using the integration for some yesrs now.
Maybe you have a chance by using the usb port for an manual firmware update ? Otherwise i think the only possibility is to wait until the battery is empty an than attach it to the dock.

Regarding the battery I removed it and replaced it with a new one. That makes no difference.

Regarding a manual firmware update via USB port is a good idea. Where can I find more information about this?

I think the process is described in the manual. The manual should be available online. I made it some years ago but as i remember it was not very easy to find the firmware, unfortunately i dont remember where i downloaded it.

I already found the firmware on the Bosch website and downloaded. I ordered an USB-C OTG cable to attach a USB memory stick to the mower.
As soon as I've tried to install the firmware ( https://www.bosch-diy.com/nl/nl/service/firmware-garden ) I will report about the outcome.

Hey,
This sounds like you activated the lock mode either in HomeAssistant or the Bosch Smart gardening app.

In HomeAssistant there is a switch to lock or unlock the Indego buttons.
In the Bosch App there is an option under „Indego Settings“

@WhyLev : Thanks for the idea but unfortunately the Bosch app gives the message that the Indego is Off-line..

Update on the firmware update. After plugging in the memory stick with the latest firmware and powering on the mower there was NO message if an update must be performed.
I now sent a service request to Bosch. Maybe they can help ( I doubt it). Sending backing for repair is not an option as we currently selling our house and our new house will have a garden without gras!
