Working On Fedora44 / GTX 3060

We were able to get this working relatively easily (the most annoying part was going and grabbing the "beta" NVidia driver for the latest Vulkan support) in Linux (on Fedora 44, but it'd work anywhere):

I only implemented the xcb route (not "pure Wayland", that'd be a slight bit more complicated), but I'm happy to submit a PR if that's something you'd be interested in.

Can't wait to see where this goes, BTW. :)

If you have a minimal window implementation and minimal CMAKE/ifdef changes required for Linux, please do a PR.

Will do. It'll be early tomorrow though. I'll see how much work a TRUE Wayland example will be (since xcb still requires the "compat shim" that most major distros still ship, but won't forever...)

Well, I'd imagine xcb will stick around for another... decade? I'm totally speculating, of course... maybe XWayland stays around forever, who knows. I'm one of those gluttons for punishment who prefer Fedora because it pushes new tech and breaks things. I submitted a minimal PR with some notes (but left out changes like adding VulkanHeaders and slang as submodules), and anyone who really wants to get going on Linux will need the beta NVidia drivers for the next few months until distros catch up.
