- Download
Orbit.dmgfrom the Releases section. - Open the disk image and drag Orbit.app into /Applications.
- Launch Orbit from Applications or Spotlight.
Note on macOS Gatekeeper: Because this is a free, open-source build not signed with an Apple Developer Program subscription, macOS Gatekeeper may show a verification dialog on first launch.
- Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll to Security, and click Open Anyway.
- Or run:
xattr -cr /Applications/Orbit.app
OrbitCode features built-in self-updating. When installed, Orbit automatically detects new versions published to this repository and prompts to apply updates seamlessly.
- macOS: Self-updating via the in-app update prompt or direct bundle swap.
- Windows: Auto-staging and portable executable swap.
- Linux: CLI / managed updating via
orbit update.
