Good morning, thank you for your efforts. The nice, efficient hardware is marred by a clunky operating system. It’s impossible to get an update that doesn’t cause some kind of problem. If you update the distributed release, you get errors in the keys that can’t be resolved; if you update the repositories with Trixie, you end up making the board unbootable. The PDF that’s supposed to explain the AI leads to a blank page. Instead of making such a clunky system, couldn’t you have put together a server system that could be updated? ...

What kind of errors are you getting?

Late to the thread, doing a little post-necromancy here.

I'm on a VisionFive 2 and got mine from the old Debian Ports/Bookworm setup onto Trixie with this:

# Replace ancient Debian Ports unstable snapshot with Trixie snapshot
sudo sed -i 's#debian-ports/20230612T050707Z unstable#debian/20241224T203807Z trixie#' /etc/apt/sources.list

# Change StarFive repo from Bookworm to Trixie
sudo sed -i 's/starfive-debian bookworm/starfive-debian trixie/' /etc/apt/sources.list.d/starfive-sid.list
