It doesn't return latest data

The example code doesn't return the latest reading from the IoT devices. Can you update the example code so that it returns latest reading from the devices? It seems to always return same value. If I refresh the data in the app, and the code would pull down the latest value.

What kind of devices are you working with? The temperature sensors?
Currently it looks like that mqtt is needed to request an update. I've tried to send it via a http-request, but that fails.
It should be something like this, but the server rejects the request. Maybe you are able to figure it out.

Maybe I can add an example for updating it via MQTT later, but that isn't very straight forward. This library is made for home assistant, all MQTT related stuff is located there.

I see. I’m trying to create a Prometheus exporter for Grafana integration. Thanks for the info. Will take a look the other HA repo.

It is for reading from hygrometers.

@nicolabengtsson connecting to MQTT is required to get up to date data as Theosnel mentioned. I managed to get it working based on this library + the other Home Assistant integration. The code is specific for my own use case. You can see it here
