Refresh the canonical Workshop seasonal data for the Season 5 surface, beginning with Doctrine's already-shipped Hero Trial and covering the Workshop-visible content that becomes current with the Season 5 launch.
Context
The catalog/gameplay/settings data currently derives from the reviewed workshop-data export pinned to 2026-08-12. That snapshot already contains the 53-hero roster through D.Mon and the earlier 2026 additions, so this work must not re-add Season 1-4 content that is already canonical.
Blizzard has since exposed the next content boundary:
Doctrine is Hero 54 and was playable in a limited-time Hero Trial on September 12-14, 2026.
Doctrine's full roster debut is scheduled for Season 5.
Season 5 introduces the Escort map Watchpoint: Grímsvötn.
Sombra moves from Damage to Support and receives a major rework.
Roadhog also receives a major rework.
Blizzard has teased Hero 55 but has not published a stable identity/surface for it.
The Workshop catalog should follow the actual client/source surface rather than marketing announcements alone. New identities, settings, kit topology, locale spellings, and signatures must be reconciled from the current reviewed source data and, where needed, the seasonal live-client workflow in #21.
Refresh the reviewed source/export pin used by the canonical catalog, settings data, and gameplay topology to a current Season 5-capable source.
Add Doctrine wherever the current Workshop surface exposes it:
Hero identity and locale spellings;
hero settings applicability;
hero/slot/variant gameplay topology and localized ability names;
any Workshop-visible hero-specific facts required by existing catalog/settings/gameplay contracts.
Add Watchpoint: Grímsvötn to the canonical Map surface, including locale mappings and relevant settings applicability, once the live/current source exposes it.
Reconcile Sombra's Support-role transition and reworked kit with gameplay/settings data after the Season 5 surface is current.
Reconcile Roadhog's reworked kit where it changes Workshop-visible ability topology, names, settings, or other canonical facts.
Re-run catalog/settings/gameplay generators and update their dataset/catalog identity, digest, source attribution, and tests from the reviewed source.
Review the refreshed source for any additional Workshop-visible actions, values, enum/content members, settings, maps, or locale changes introduced since the previous pin; include them when they are part of the same seasonal client surface.
Non-goals
Re-adding Domina, Anran, Emre, Mizuki, Jetpack Cat, Sierra, Shion, D.Mon, Neon Junction, or other 2026 content already present in the canonical data.
Adding Hero 55 or other teased/unreleased content without a stable current Workshop identity.
Encoding Stadium-only powers/items or temporary event content unless the normal Workshop surface actually exposes them as canonical content.
Updating ordinary balance numbers merely because a balance patch changed them, unless those numbers are part of the existing gameplay dataset contract being refreshed from a supported source.
Adding OPY/DEL/Wright-specific syntax or semantics.
Consumer integration changes in opy-rs, deltin-rs, or wright; those repositories should consume the released owner update separately.
Acceptance criteria
Doctrine resolves as a canonical Workshop hero anywhere the current client/source exposes Hero 54, with reviewed locale mappings and no consumer-side special case.
Watchpoint: Grímsvötn is represented as a canonical map when it is present in the current Workshop surface.
Sombra and Roadhog's Season 5 Workshop-visible topology/settings changes are reflected without changing stable hero/slot identity unnecessarily.
The refreshed source is compared against the previous 2026-08-12 pin and every Workshop-visible addition/removal/change is either incorporated or explicitly shown to be outside the owned surface.
Catalog, settings, gameplay, parser/validation/emission, and locale tests covering the changed surface pass without weakening existing assertions.
Generator/check commands reproduce the committed data deterministically and reject stale/duplicate identities.
No unreleased Hero 55 placeholder or marketing-only identity enters the canonical catalog.
